Mrs. Robey was a memeber of Grace Methodist Church and the W.W.W. Club. Although she was a victim of severe arthritis for many years, she had maintianed a keen in- terest in her neighbors and friends and had maintained her hobby of doing things for others. Survivors include her hus- band,Ray; one son, Ross of Brooklyn; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Ruth) Price of Victor and Mrs. Bob(Ruby) Rehfeldt of Belleview, Fla.; four grandchildren, Mrs. Raymond (Carolyn) Fowler of Toledo, Colleen Price and Rebecca and Roger Rehfeldt; three great- grandchildren; one brother, William Kann ofBrooklyn and one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Pearle) Kuntz of Brooklyn. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Ted, and an Infant brother. Funeral Services were con- ducted Friday afternoon at 10 o'clock at Grace Metho- dist church with the Rev. ?.W. until he retired 5 years ago. Since that time, he lived at the home
of his son, 7250 N. 16th St.

Frederick S. Welch of Sandoval died Monday at his home after an illness.
Welch, 80, was a farmer and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist
Church. He is survived by his wife, Henrietta, in Fountain Head, Tenn.; four
sons, Donald, Sandoval; Lowell, Lincoln, Neb.; Clifford, Tulsa, Okla., and
Howard, British Gold Coast, Africa; four brothers, and 13 grand-children.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Strong-Thorne Mortuary.

Barron will officiate. The remains will be taken Thursday morning on Train
No. 22, accompanied by his son, Donald to Tulsa, Okla, for committal
services and interment.

From the FAIRFAX CHIEF Newspaper, Thursday, July 23,1953 - Funeral service for W. E. Hinkle, a pioneer resident of this community, was held last Thursday afternoon at the Pentecostal Church of God, conducted by a former pastor, Rev. J. W. Caswell, assisted by Rev. A. J. Wells, Pastor of the Assembly of God Church. Interment was in the Fairfax cemetery with the Hunsaker funeral home in charge. Mr. Hinkle passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 14, at the Ponca City hospital where he had been taken the evening before. His age at death was 77 years, 3 months, 14 days. William Ernest Hinkle was born march 20, 1876 in Louisburg, Missouri, the son of Gideon and Mary Hinkle. He was united in marriage to Minnie Elizabeth Bradshaw in Louisburg, Mo., on December 7, 1899. To this union were born five children, three sons and two daughters, all of whom survive. the family moved from Missouri to Fairfax in 1916, and the family home has been in this community ever since that date. Mr. Hinkle was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. Immediate family survivors are his wife; their five children, Lee Hinkle of Medford Oregon, Ray Hinkle of Honeywell Kansas, Don Hinkle of Ponca City, Mrs. Mae Bates of Ponca City, Mrs. Bess Kolb of Los Angeles, California,; 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He first married Sarah Baker Hinkle, daughter of Gideon George 'Gid' HINKLE & Mary Elizabeth HALE About 1896 in Dallas County, Missouri. Born November 1876 in Illinois. Died in Bloomington, Kansas. Buried in Kansas. Occupation Homemaker.

From the FAIRFAX CHIEF Newspaper - Thursday, March 2, 1967 - Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the Fairfax Assembly of God Church for Mrs. Minnie E. Hinkle, a long-time local resident who died in the Ponca City nursing home Monday afternoon. Rev. Frank Hall, Pastor, officiated at the services, and interment was in the Fairfax cemetery, directed by Hunsaker's Funeral home. She was born September 27, 1881 at Louisburg, Mo., and died in Ponca City February 27, 1967 at the age of 86 years, five months and 13 days. She was united in marriage to William Earnest Hinkle December 7, 1899 at Louisburg, Mo. and to this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters. Her husband preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Lee Hinkle, Hayden Colo.; Ray Hinkle, Wellington Kan., and Don Hinkle, Ponca City; two daughters, Mrs. Mae Bates, Ponca City, and Mrs. Bessie Kolb, Los Angeles, Calif.; 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and many other distant relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Russell Hinkle, Morris Hinkle, Herb Hinkle, Bill Hinkle, Weldon Hinkle and Joe Bates, Jr., all grandsons. Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Hinkle of Fairfax, mother of Mrs. Mae Bates, Route 3 and Don Hinkle, 715 North Union, died Monday in the Ponca City Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday the 6th in the Fairfax Assembly of God Church. Pallbearers are Russell Hinkle, Morris Hinkle, Herb Hinkle, Bill Hinkle, Weldon Hinkle and Joe Bates Jr., grandsons. Burial will be in the Fairfax Cemetery under the direction of the Hunsaker Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Joe Bates Sr., Route 3. Mrs. Hinkle was born Sept. 14, 1880, in Hickory County, Mo., and came to the Fairfax area about 1910. Surviving her are three sons, Lee of Haden, Colo., Ray of Wellington and Don; two daughters, Mrs. Bates and Mrs. Bess Kolb of Los Angeles, 22 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hinkle was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest.

\emdash Donald A. Welch, 85, of Frulta, Colo., died of natural causes Tuesday, Feb. 16,
1999, at Oaks Retirement Home. A service of remembrance is scheduled for 2 p.m.
today, Feb. 20, at Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. He was born July 17, 1913,
to Fred and Henrietta Welch in Climax, Kan. He married Corrine Barker in 1937.
She preceded him In death four years ago. Mr. Welch was a high school teacher
and a representative for Loma Linda Foods. Mr. Welch retired in Roswell in 1975.
He was very active member of Seventh Day Adventist Church all of his life. Don
Welch enjoyed public speaking, writing, landscaping, gardening and camping.
Survivors include his three sons, Wayne Welch and his wife, Betty, of Loveland,
Colo., Dwlght Welch and his wife, Barbara, formerly of Anchorage, Alaska, now
of Grand Junction, and Ron Welch and his wife, Jan, of Wheatland, Wyo.; daughter.
Juanlta Vincent and her husband, Mike, of Grand Junction; and nine grandchildren.

He had 7 brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fred. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Kay, and daughter Diana Wong, his son Michael Wong, all of Phoenix, AZ. His daughter Sally Wong-Nelson of Flagstaff, AZ. His younger sister Lois Patterson, and sisters, Ruth Huey and Mary Ashcavi. His brothers, Miron, David, and Percy all of Los Angeles, CA. His grandchil- dren, Terrence Wong of Phoenix, Eric Christopher Brunk, Sean Nelson, Daniel Nelson and Kaylee Nelson, of Flagstaff, AZ. Kenneth Wong of Minnesota and Kristina Schoppman of North Carolina. His great-grandchil- dren William and Anna Schoppman of North Carolina. Albert was born in Los Angeles and was a 30 year veteran. He served in the United Staters Air Force. He joined back when it was the Army Air Corps. He served in WWII and the Korea and Vietname conflicts as an electronic technician, he worked on military aircraft. He was drafted out of high school despite his mother's objections that he weighed 94 pounds and was not all enough, He distin- guished himself by serving 30 years. He wanted to be a pilot, but didn't meet the height requirements. He went to work for Arizona Printing Equip- ment Company in 1988. His hobbies included stamp collecting, model trains and books. He loved working with small tools and with his hands. He admired precision engineering and loved trains. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. and the service at 10:00 a.m. at Greer-Wilson Funeral Home, 5921 W. Thomas Road in Phoenix on Tuesday July 23rd. Burial will be at the National Memorial Cemetery for Veterans at 1:00 p.m. He will be buried with honors and Color Guard cere- mony. He will be missed terribly.
